How to create a social media posting schedule in 2026

Key takeaways A social media posting schedule maps out what to post, when, and where, so your team stays consistent without scrambling for ideas at the last minute. What’s your opinion on trading ad space for services?

I run a childrens entertainment business. I also run the social media pages for the business & I know that they don’t bring in a ton of people for us.

A large non-profit organization wants us to participate in their largest fund raising event of the year. The service I provide is a big draw for people to come to events but is not a money maker.

In order to make money off my services the Organization wants a discounted rate. I was generous enough to give 10%. They say they want us to give a bigger discount and in exchange, they will give us free ad space as a sponsor of the event.

The organization is great & we’ve worked with them in the past. I’m just not sure having my name on a website banner for a set period of time, with or without a link to our site or if even being included in email blasts & social media posts for a few months is worth the lost income from a big discount. What’s your thoughts on trading services for ad this kind of ad space?
