New Data Shows Where Breaking Traffic Laws Is Most Likely to Turn Deadly — New Mexico Tops the List

A new analysis has revealed the U.S. states where ignoring traffic laws carries the greatest risk of fatal consequences — and New Mexico ranks as the most dangerous by a striking margin. The study, conducted by the  Simmrin Law Group , examined five years of crash data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and scored each state on three high-risk behaviours: distracted driving, speeding, and dangerous intersection crashes. Each category was assigned a weighted score for a total possible 100-point “traffic violation fatality score.” The results show major geographic disparities — and highlight how certain types of risky behaviour are driving fatal crashes in different parts of the country. Looking for advice on how to approach social media in a healthy way.

Hello fam,

I'm a 33 y/o "social media addict". Not sure if that really means anything but I have an addictive and habitual personality so I do feel addicted in a sense to social media. I'm looking for some advice from others who may deal with a similar situation on how to exist on social media without it taking over.

Social media has become my go-to "activity" for down time, or any time I'm struggling with avoidance whether it be avoiding doing my taxes, coding and applying to jobs (unemployed software dev), or really anything that requires focus or anything that is not something I consider a fun activity.

I'm noticing that over the past few years, because of my draw to scrolling my big 3 (Facebook, Instagram, Reddit) my ability to focus on tasks has tanked. I have app timers set on my phone but have been having trouble keeping myself accountable and will often just extend my timers.

Anytime I feel the pull to open an app on my phone and fight it I feel an intense amount of anxiety, but the second I start scrolling the anxiety goes away. I've tried just deleting these apps from my phone and taking detox breaks, but the problem returns as soon as I download them again. My goal is not to eliminate social media from my life, but instead to form a healthy relationship with it so that I can use and benefit from the pros of social media.

Without making this too long, does anyone else struggle with this? Is there a better sub to post in regarding self-control? And finally does anyone have any advice or tips on strategies or apps I can try out to start reducing my time on social media without feeling the extreme anxiety? It's honestly caused my career and life in general to become stagnant and I hate that I'm struggling so much to spend my time pursuing personal and career growth

Appreciate any input. Pls don't be too mean lol.
