How to create a social media posting schedule in 2026

Key takeaways A social media posting schedule maps out what to post, when, and where, so your team stays consistent without scrambling for ideas at the last minute. Posting frequency varies by platform, but consistency matters more than volume. Start with recommended minimums and adjust based on your own analytics. What does it take on Instagram?

I am posting on my Instagram business account for close to 6 months now. Have hardly got any followers. Did paid boost some posts, got likes on posts. Messaged them personally to follow, very few of them followed. But now from 170 followers two months back I am left with just 145 followers. I am following 500 people.

I am putting proper hashtags, posting everyday. My posts are light-hearted non-personal generalist jokes and memes.

Considering drop from 170 to 145 followers as SOS for my Instagram skills, I am seeking inputs on what else shall I do or do correctly or differently. To be clear for best inputs, I am not frustrated on this situation but surely surprised to see this because I am fairly new on Instagram and not much educated about Instagram to diagnose this problem myself.
