Social media crisis management in 9 steps [2026 guide]

Video got 2.8M views on a platform I don't use.

I'm a tattoo artist and mostly use Instagram and Facebook. I have been posting on those for the last few years, using my Instagram as a portfolio, and I have roughly 4500 followers. I also have Tiktok, but I have very few posts there, am not really showing my work, and have like 24 followers. Anyway, a couple days ago I posted a tiktok of a tattoo that I did, and it has gotten 2.8M views so far! However, I've only gotten about 400 new followers because of the lack of additional content. I wish I had posted it as a reel on Instagram and it went viral there, where people would then go to my page, see my work, and want to follow. But if I had posted it there instead, I feel like it wouldn't even have gotten seen. Everything I do on Instagram seems to get buried. Should I try posting the same video as a reel on Instgram anyway? Is there anything I can be doing to take advantage of the momentum?
