Social media image sizes for all networks [September 2025]

Social media image sizes seem to change … a lot. Never mind the confusion of new social platforms emerging, with their own content specs and aspect ratios. It doesn’t help that information about official dimensions and image sizes is surprisingly scarce. So what’s the big secret? The lack of official image guidelines is likely directly tied to the frequency of image guideline changes. The platforms don’t want to invest the time and energy to constantly update their image guidelines for end users. Fortunately, dear reader, we have invested that time and energy for you to create this comprehensive (and up-to-date) cheat sheet listing social media image sizes on all important social media platforms! Below are the most recent social media image dimensions, as of September 2025. Quick social media image sizes We go into more detail for every single network below, but this image includes the social media image sizes you probably look up most often. Basic Insta...

Threads got a major update, but it's still not going to win... Here's why

Hey there guys... Let's talk about what's new with the social media barons.

The world's in a mess... Everyone's got an opinion to share. The media titans are keeping a close eye on their stats. They are loving what they are seeing.

- Twitter has been having quite a time lately. People are sticking around the app longer, and they've welcomed a bunch of new users aboard.

- Meta has decided to finally add some key features to its Twitter-like app Threads.

What better time to introduce some shiny new features than when everyone's glued to their screens?

So, here's what Threads added today.

💡Trends – Now you can see trending topics and discover the latest posts about them.

💡GIFs - Okay, GIFs are here. Not that we really need this.

💡Voice Notes - You can make posts of voice notes. This is definitely good for mobile.

💡Edit your posts & threads - You can now come back later and edit your posts.

I don't know about you but it really does not sound that exciting to me. I mean it's something, but these are things Twitter had five years ago. So, thanks, Meta, but we need you to pick up the pace a bit.

The "Trending topics" feature might add some spark to Threads. People can actually look for stuff they're into. But it's not quite enough to pull Twitter users over to Threads.

One more thing that's missing from Threads is the freedom that new Twitter gives its users. Meta's platforms are more strict when it comes to content. People get banned faster, and they can't express themselves as openly as they can on Twitter.

That's a real roadblock, and Meta needs to change their content policies.

So, despite the "Trending" update, Threads might not steal the spotlight just yet.

Now, when it comes to Twitter (sorry I mean X) Elon and team have also decided to add a new feature that lets you limit replies to verified accounts only.

What does that mean? If you don't have that blue tick, you can't reply.

While a lot of people think it's a bad feature I beg to differ.

I mean just think about it.

Many folks lock their posts because they're scared of Twitter trolls. With this feature, they might feel safer sharing their bold opinions and sparking genuine conversations. Say goodbye to "Only the mentioned people can reply," and hello to open discussions with verified accounts sharing top-notch content.

I think this small change could make Twitter conversations a whole lot more interesting.

What's your take on all these changes?

Do you think Threads has a fighting chance now, or do you think it's a losing game for them? Share your thoughts!
