Social media strategy goals - help needed!
I’m putting together a social strategy for a place I just joined but am struggling with the goals part. Every website gives different examples and I’m not sure what is correct!
I’ve based on my goals from last years data, although it is slightly skewed because the business opened a year ago so they gained thousands of followers & had high engagement in a few months.
Now it’s more business as usual, so I want to make the goals realistic as possible but still try to improve performance.
We have FB Twitter and LinkedIn, with LinkedIn being the most successful. Are these examples ok?
Our overall marketing goal is increasing brand awareness, so I’ve stuck to KPIs like followers, impressions, reach etc, but do they all need to be included as separate goals for each channel?
Here are some examples of what I’ve done so far. I think I’m stuck on how many goals to have because I have 3 channels to focus on. LInkedIn is our best channel so have focused on that more for the goals.
- Grow LinkedIn audience by 10,000 followers and Facebook followers by 5,000 by the end of 2023.
- Increase reach by 20% and impressions by 10% on LinkedIn
- Improve click throughs by 5% across LinkedIn and Facebook (is click throughs even a good metric for brand awareness??)
I’m really stuck so any help would be appreciated!
