What topic about social media do you enjoy learning/teaching about the most (or find the most interesting/fun)?

I am wanting to teach a few friends of mine who are curious about the topic and was wondering where to start. I love the topic and could chat for hours but don't want them to find it boring or exhausting. I have one friend who wants to learn about it in detail, what more detailed areas should I focus on. Where do you think beginners/intermediates would gain the most useful information on something like this?

To save me having to teach all the detail I was thinking of pointing them to some useful resources on the topic. Any recommendations for that or things that have helped you the most?
